NATIONAL TRAINING CURRICULUM FOR ADULT IN SCOUTING


NIGERIA ADULT RESOURCES MANAGEMENT: NATIONAL TRAINING CURRICULUM FOR ADULT IN SCOUTING

Brothers/Sisters Volunteers in Scouting, owing to feedback from some Scouting quarters on the suspected weakness and the eroding qualities of our Training programs that are being disseminated by some of our Adult Leader Trainers: Training ranging from Tenderfoot to Leader Training Courses. To provide a stop gap and to bring us (Trainers) back on tracks on the Training Aims, Objectives, and Curricula; vis-a-vis the anticipated quality of Adult Training expected by The World Organization of Scout Movement (WOSM).
As the "Adult Resources Process Owner" tracking Life Cycle of Adult in Scouting, please find attached, a comprehensive compiled Training Curriculum as advised by the World Organization of Scout Movement for your use on Training of Adult in the Cycle Chain. Our goal in Nigerian Scouting NSO is to be the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in terms of: Recruitment, Training & Support, and Management of Adult Operating Standards in our Scouting environment. Though we are not unmindful of our present predicaments in Nigerian Scouting, which is not peculiar to Nigeria only, however, we believe that; sooner than later, a course will be chatted to proffer light  at the end of the tunnel.

To all Training Commissioners/National Training Commissioner, l will like you to review the curriculum and ask questions where you're not too clear, for appropriate clarifications. Equally, l am working on the Training Aid for each of the topics, but you could decide to research for related topics and start with what you have. Curriculum and topics MUST be same, but different excellent literature could be used to disseminate the Training Courses. I will work with the National Training Commissioner towards setting up of a Trainers Conference that will center round "Training of the Trainers" In the interim, l will like you to review the curriculum for questions/clarifications and for your official (execution) use effective 1st of January 2012. Many thanks for your anticipated Support on these programs. 

NB: This mail serves as Management of Change (MOC) process from the Old Training Curriculum to the New WOSM anticipated Curriculum. Review Comments where applicable are welcome from West African Regional Scout Committee and or the African Region within the three months MOC time-line. Many thanks.
