Barrister Elusogbon's response to Kushimo

Commentaries on Kushimo's purported suspension of wood badge holder in Scout Association of Nigeria:
We want action not empty talk in Scouting. Well meaning Scouts all over Nigeria are charged to carry out the Mission of Scouting and ignore the noisemakers and agents of disunity such as "Chief" Kushimo. No power or authority can withdraw a lawfully earned qualification without due process being followed. The "Suspensions on paper is laughable and a farce". Where was the application of fair hearing demonstrated? What are the particulars of the alleged "unscouting and gross misconduct" set out in the bogus Letter of Suspension? All right thinking Scouts should ignore this ignorant and ridiculous ranting Kushimo. A desperate lone ranger with no followership. Scouting is all about teamwork and consensual relationship with others. You cannot force yourself on others or order people around! Scouting is NON MILITARY. We do no carry out "Orders" or liable to the whim of disrespectful people who cannot lead by good personal example. We cannot respect people without personal integrity or genuine followership. Scouts. Be Very Alert! These are desperate people with ulterior motives. As the saying goes: 'omi ti gbe leyin eja won'. These people are like fish out of water. They will trash and gasp for breath, they are about to expire! We look at them with pity and sadness for all the terrible confusion they have brought to Nigerian Scouting. It is better to ignore them than join issues with them. As far we are concerned they will soon be consigned to the dustbin of ignoble history.

  1. Well said Barrister Elusogbon. Kushimo is a professional jester. Maybe people don't know; he featured on stage in the popular 'Awada Kerikeri' by Jacobs and Aderupoko in the 80s. Even in the colonial era, suspension was not done that way. I believe he is in the world of his own.
Barrister is right again when he said Kushimo is expired. Yes! He's expired. He used to reign in the 80s and 90s when we all adored him. He is no more relevant now. What would have been my advise for him was to have left when the ovation was loudest. But now?...
This same Kushimo capsized the boat of Ogun State if not for the intervention of Fr. Amolegbe. Now he wants to repeat what he's known for at the National. We will not allow him.
